Day 17 & 18

Day 17 - Someone you would want to switch lives with for one day and why.
Day 18 - Plans/Dreams/Goals you have.

I'm combining them both.. as they both somewhat tie in together.

Someone you would want to switch lives with for one day and why.

Ceci! This is my Zumba instructor. I love her sooo much! She is such an incredible inspiration, and she's sooo tiny and energetic! Even when she's sick she comes to class and gives it her all. She's such a happy person, and you can just feel how much she loves Zumba and all of her little "Zumba-Peeps". I've been to a few other Zumba classes, and NONE of them are as good as Zumba with Cecilia. My mom and I have both said numerous times that we're so lucky we found her.
I want to know what it would be like to be her! To teach 9 (yes.. NINE) Zumba classes each week. To spend every day doing what you love sooooo much! And most of all, to be skinny. And just the cutest thing ever.

Plans/Dreams/Goals you have.

This part might be most unpleasant for my family to read.. but I figure if I put it here for you to see, I'll actually have the support I want/need to stick to it.

I want to lose 10 pounds and quit smoking by Christmas
yeah... I said it. I'm a smoker. I've been smoking since I was 17. Ohhhh how young and naive I was... Thinking it was no big deal, I could quit if I wanted. Turns out, not so easy. It certainly was the first few times I quit. (heh) Which only made me think it'd be a piece of cake if I continued. So on I went. Now 6 years later I hate the way I smell most of the time. I hate the way I get snappy with my family (my brother mostly) after hanging out with them for an entire day because I won't smoke around them. I hate the coughing, and throat clearing all the time.
But, along with that, it's become such a relaxing crutch I panic when I think about life without it. A friend of mine that recently quit posted something on facebook the other day and basically said as much as she hates smoking, it's so relaxing. The process of just breathing in and out is so calming. And it's so true. It's so stupid.
cigarette Pictures, Images and Photos

All of that, combined with wanting to lose weight is pushing myself, indeed. Although the combination of Zumba and cutting back on the smoking certainly worked like a charm before. You see, smoking and Zumba do not go very well together. And I'd rather be able to Zumba comfortably and get healthy than continue ruining myself.
I need to learn how to eat right. I feel as though I was never properly educated on a healthy eating lifestyle. I get so stressed because in my mind everything needs to be *perfect* so when I think about buying things to be able to eat right, so many other obstacles pop in my head (I'm not even going to try explaining them... as they probably won't make sense to anyone anyhow..) that make me just not want to bother. That, or I go through phases of hardly eating anything. I'll go days of just weight loss shakes and a cracker here and there... and then I go a few days of doing exactly the opposite.

aaaaaanyways
I think back to a month or so after my mom and I discovered Zumba and I'd lost a little over 10 pounds and I was feeling good. And then when I was going to school I started doing homework more often than go to Zumba (what!? ha..) But still stayed fit... And then along came Halloween City, and barely being home long enough to sleep, let alone eat something that wasn't fast food... and everything got jiggly again. :/ uggghhh. I haven't gained the full 10 pounds back yet. (at least I don't think so... I've been avoiding the scale, but last time I checked, I wasn't there yet. haha) So I need to get back on track!!

I post this picture because I love Shelbywoo, and this was after Zumba one night. We were being way too goofy and taking waaaay too many pictures on my moms laptop. haha. Ohh I miss her!

So, to wrap it up here, I want to be skinny.
I want to quit smoking.
And I want to hang out with Shelby.

I'm totally open to suggestions. If anyone has any helpful tips on quitting smoking. Or if you have some healthy meal ideas (for one, because I'm a loner..) Or just any thoughts or ideas that could help me out, they are more than welcome. (Heidi, Bonnie, and Jodi... first class of Zumba is free.. just something to think about if you want to join me! hehe)

I'm determined. I've been saying these two things for YEARS. Time to actually do something about it.
Scared to death.. but determined.

Day 16 - Another picture of yourself.

Oh Hello Blogger. It's been a while. So I'm doubling your pleasure in this post with TWO pictures of yours truly. (and throwin' in some update blog worthy type things as an added bonus!)
So, I realized that in both of these pictures I'm wearing drinking shirts. :/ So I'm going to tell you my stories of how I came about owning them. The shirt in the top picture, says "One Tequila, Two Tequila, Three Tequila, Floor" and gets a little blurrier as it goes.. ha. This shirt actually belonged to my sweet Johnson boys' oldest brother. He passed away earlier this year so they took over most of his clothes. He was such an awesome guy, but was afflicted with some serious health issues and unfortunately it took him early. The boys were actually going to give this shirt to one of our other friends, but then Dustin one day decided I should have it to remember Brandon by. It's become one of my favorite shirts because of that. I get the other 3 boys every day, and now I have a little piece of Brandon too.
The bottom picture is a Pabst Blue Ribbon shirt. Not much of a story with this one, aside from Matt bought one, and every time he'd wear it I told him he needed to give my shirt back. (haha) And then we went to the mall one day and he bought me one. It's nice to have things bought for me for a change.

AAAAAAAANYWAYS....
I started my new job!! It's at a call center in Orem. Not so glamorous... but I'm making $1.50 more than I'm making at Pizza Hut (which is $.50-$1 more than I'd even be making as a Manager at Pizza hut), and I have potential for a raise after the 3 week probation period. It's really nice. I'm working nights there, part time for the first few weeks and after my performance review I'll be able to move to full time. I think I'll still keep my job at Pizza Hut for a while, it'll be nice to have the extra money. Especially with the Holidays coming up.
In the down time at work #2, I get to crochet(!!!) which is soooo nice, as I've been wanting to get caught up on my crochet projects but didn't seem to be able to find time to do so. I've also purchased a Dinosaur coloring book to keep myself occupied. I also have come up with a list of silly phone job quirks...

-Ring back tones are ridiculous. Unless you have awesome ones like the ones I use to. I mean, who DOESN'T enjoy hearing "Hey Good Lookin'" every time they want to get a hold of me. But f'real, some of the crazy R&B and "Praise Jesus" songs I've heard in the last few days just make me laugh.
-Peoples voicemail messages make me smile. I had one the other day for an older lady that had a wonderful (3 minute) inspirational message. Precious.
-Did you know there's a city in Pennsylvania called "Forty Fort"...? Really?.... Really?!

Everyone's been posting about decorating they're homes/apartments for Christmas. I usually am a bit of a Scrooge, I won't lie, until about a week before Christmas. But something about this year has me excited already for it. I only wish I had my own place to decorate and buy fun holiday smells for. But Hailey and I went shopping the other day and we went in to Tai Pan, and I got soooo excited to start Christmas shopping, and the smell of cinnamon, and snowflake decorations. (Also, Heidi, they have lots of cute owl jewelry there, it made me think of you.) And then this afternoon we went to Denny's and they have their new Holiday specials, and even THOSE got me excited! I'm excited to buy my family and friends presents. Driving around looking at Christmas lights. Snuggling and drinking hot chocolate (even if I know it'll really just be sitting on the couch watching video games... ha) Hanging out with family. And everyone's houses just feeling so cozy. My mom's Christmas Village. Especially when my dumb kitty climbs up in there and pretends she's Cat-Zilla. Going to my moms and watching Christmas movies and snuggling with my pup.

Ohhh. So many things to look forward to. I'm happy I wrote this post. I was feeling a little down this evening, and that happy list just lifted my spirits. :D

I hope every one had a good weekend!

Day 15 - Put your iPod on shuffle; first 10 songs that play.

1. Bust A Move- Glee
I, too, love Glee. I could listen to the soundtracks allll the time. But the boys would probably start beating me if I did that. heh.

2. Leicester Square- Rancid
Oh yes. Soft spot for some Tim Armstrong.

3. Giving Up Giving In- Streetlight Manifesto
Sometimes I forget that I still have some music on my ipod. haha

4. Turntable- Rancid

5. Send Her My Love- Journey
LOVE JOURNEY!! I'm going to start a cover band. I serenaded Matthew last night with some "Don't Stop Believin'" last night when it came on the jukebox at ABG's. :D

6. Nothin' To Lose- Kiss

<3

7. Beautiful, Dirty, Rich.- Lady Gaga
Probably my favorite Lady Gaga song. Just sayin..

8. Birthday Dethday- Dethklok

9. Hoboken- Operation Ivy

10. Face That Screams- Operation Ivy
I love Op Ivy... unfortunately all the songs I have on my ipod are the most horrible recordings. :( But I just can't get myself to delete them.

Day 14 - A picture of you and your family.

My Mama. My Brotha. Me. And My Pop.

I love them.

Day 13 - A letter to someone who has hurt you recently.

I'm bored waiting for Matt to get off work, so I continue now with more 30 days of blogging..
Figure it'll kind of catch me up for what I skipped while H.City was open. :D

Only thing is, I don't quite know what to write here. This is more a post fit for a journal. But perhaps I should write something just to get my feelings on a certain matter out there. Unfortunately, I still don't think that would help considering... Hmm... I'll give it a shot.

***********
Hmm.. okay. Had a great big long letter typed out. Read it over. Decided to go with my original instinct and not post it publicly. Thanks for trying though, blogger. You're a champ. ;)

So another picture of Shad and I on Halloween being total Bad A's

Day 12 - How you found out about Blogs and why you made one.

I originally found out about blogger through my mom. One day I was at my Mom's house and she was looking at my Aunt Megan's blog. And then showed me hers. And then somehow talked me in to starting my own. I made a few posts, and then got bored with it. Mostly just wanted to read my Aunts blog because she's got the cutest damn kids on the planet. And I started thinking about how blogging was more for grown ups and married people with kids. Ugh... But then one day I creeped about at Jodi's blog and laughed so hard I decided I wanted to start up again. Deleted all of my old posts about the old relationship and whiney baby crap and started over! :D

(This is my little buddy, as previously mentioned, cutest freakin kids ever!)

Today has been so odd. I had a great day at work. Everything seemed to be just grand. But then I got home and just felt off. I read something today on Facebook that kind of tied in to something that happened a few days ago that just left me feeling confused about current goings on. As I said in a previous post, I'm really enjoying this sudden change of events in my life right now. But the last few days have just left my mind racing and thinking about things (and a person) I probably shouldn't.
Oh well, It's just today that I've really felt this way.

UPDATED! Maaaaaan I'm proud of how often I'm updating! Honestly, if it wasn't for Heidi and Bonnie I wouldn't be. At least I know I have an audience. Haha. :D Thanks grrrrrls!

Day 11 - Another picture of you and your friends.

Due to the fact that I really don't hang out with many people, and I already posted a picture of all my good friends... This post is only going to have a few people in it. :D

Me and Matthew. Duh. He took me on a Dollar date Monday night(as you can see, we're wearing 3D glasses in that photo for Toy Story 3 in 3D). And he's a big dummy and makes me smile way more than he should.

Hailey Beth. Now, I don't hang out with many girls. But this one is deffo one of my faves.

ALESIAAAAAAAAAA!!!! Once again, I know I know.. she's my cousin. But f'real, she's my bestie. Love her silly little dancin' guts.(She's currently dancing around the room as I type this) We both had the day off today, so after my interview(!!!) we met up and spent the whole day together! I'm her maid of honor, so we originally were going to go put a deposit down on her wedding venue, but that plan didn't really go through. But we went to Salt Lake anyhow and went shopping at The Gateway. Which was surprisingly successful for me. I usually spend all day shopping and can never find anything I ACTUALLY want to buy. But I bought 2 shirts (Clearance baby, my best friend!) I know, two shirts doesn't sound like much for an entire day of shopping, but trust me, it's quite the accomplishment for this Shando. We went to Lunch at Z'Tejas. MMMMM. Love that place so good! Then went to Target and bought practical errand type things. I love spending time with that girl. She's my 95 but 6 year old buddy. We used to sit at her house in our PJ's crocheting like old ladies... but watching Hannah Montana and Wizards of Waverly Place at the same time. :D

While we were at Target, I found these little devils. White chocolate covered oreos! Holy crap... they're so good! But man, do I wish I had refrained from buying them for that very reason! Haha.

This is one of the sweet new shirts I bought! Team Eddie for sure!!! (not to mention, only $4 for the best shirt EVER!) I LOVE The Munsters! Have ever since I was a wee lass, and when Alesia pulled this out of the clearance to show me at Hot Topic I just HAD to get it!

Man... We're cool.
